Complete Mission Plan

Friday, October 2

Lederhosen on. Straight to the Wiesn.

  • Meet in the hotel lobby and walk together to Festhalle Schottenhamel.
  • Reserved table at Schottenhamel. Arrive as a complete group.
  • Standard hotel check-in. Bags can be left with reception if rooms are not ready earlier.

Saturday, October 3

Hofbräu party-tent day.

  • Complimentary breakfast at the hotel.
  • Meet in the lobby and walk to Hofbräu-Festzelt.
  • Hofbräu tent reservation. This booking is separate from the main package.
  • A small advance group should enter early because wristbands are limited; distribution happens before entry.

Sunday, October 4

Pedicabs, beer gardens and the closing tent push.

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Meet in the lobby for a pedicab ride to the English Garden and Chinese Tower Beer Garden.
  • Pedicab from the beer garden to Hofbräuhaus. It does not accept reservations, so seating is first-available.
  • Regroup in the hotel lobby and walk to Schützen-Festzelt.
  • Reserved table at Schützen-Festzelt through closing.

Monday, October 5

Recovery, checkout and onward travel.

  • Final hotel breakfast.
  • Check out before 12:00 PM, then depart for flights or continue individual travel plans.
  • S1 or S8 trains connect central Munich and the airport about every 10–15 minutes; allow roughly 45 minutes for the ride.

🎒 Before You Go

  • Passport, flight details and any current entry requirements
  • Travel insurance and prescription medicines
  • Phone plan, chargers and a German/European plug adapter
  • Comfortable shoes plus lederhosen or dirndl

🚆 Arrival Intel

  • Airport taxis may prefer cash
  • S1 and S8 trains both run toward central Munich
  • Carry euros; cards are common but cash is still useful
  • Emergency number throughout Europe: 112

🍺 Tent Survival

  • Do not leave if you expect guaranteed re-entry
  • Keep every wristband and voucher—they cannot be replaced
  • Dance on benches, never tables or aisles
  • Bring a small bag, bathroom change and patience
  • Tip early, listen to security and clink gently

Pro Tips

Mayhem Maps + Munich Weather

Oktoberfest Fairgrounds Tent Map

Cleaner Google Maps view centered on the Wiesn. Use the quick links for live walking directions, official grounds info, and priority tent searches.

Google embeds are easier to pinch, pan, and hand off to your phone than the old custom pin map.

Fairgrounds → Hotel Drei Löwen

Live Google walking route from the Wiesn to Hotel Drei Löwen near Hauptbahnhof — much better for “where are we actually going?” moments.

43°F Overcast in Munich

Munich Weather

Live weather loads from wttr.in. Current fallback: overcast, 43°F, feels like 39°F.

Today: 54° / 43°F Rain chance: high Wind: 6 mph Pack: light jacket
